About Us

We are a small family-run studio – husband, wife, mother and son, – not to mention our belved cat, Kisiminn – creating every piece of art you see here by hand and heart. Our items are both authentic and unique, those are our key words.

With over 40 years of experience in taxidermy, and more than 20 years of fieldwork in Greenland and Iceland as anthropologists, our pieces are deeply rooted in cultural knowledge, traditional techniques, and respect for the animal, the land and the story behind each creation.

With taxidermy we give animals a second life – one rooted in dignity  art and authenticity. Every piece is made with traditional techniques and deep care. No animal has been killed only for our taxidermy. That is why we called it their 2ndlife. 

Our trolls and mythical beings are hand – sculptured by our brilliand Icelandic artist, Ása. The sculptures are made from icelandic lava stones and driftwood. Each creature is one of a kind, inspired by powerful spirits and Icelandic folk lore.
